Ok looks like I have to come in and defend Buffy (Although by all accounts she can look after herself pretty well!)

Firstly the show is not great because of the main characters, it is good because of the production quality and the ideas behind it. For example the episode "hush" won many awards and it is perhaps one of the greatest TV examples of entertainment that exists in my opinion. The whole episode was done in silence and still the characters and the plot came off really well.

Another example the episode "Once more with feeling" has also got a lot of critical acclaim and was voted 13th best musical in the world. (Although I think that it does not deserve that high placement) It again perfectly in music remained modern, funny, and advanced the characters and the plots perfectly and it was refreshing to hear voices that were not perfect because it fits in with the environment the episode was made in.

Yes buffy is cheesy at times but these cheesy moments are self aware and so is used as comedy in the program.

Also as the finisher I have to state that when Abi moved in with me she hated Buffy and although when asked she will still say that she still does. But if you approach quietly enough in an evening, to our flat you will spot Abi sitting alone watching the current episodes on TV. I know because I caught her!!!

So Narr when u come over I will force u to watch many episodes of it until u agree it is good muahaha. Especially as I own them on DVD!!!

Wow one of my longer posts on HOP and its about Buffy lol

Oi. I watched two, yes two, of the latest series, purely cos BBC2 was better than the depressing news on BBC and I don't beleive any other channels exist.

And there's no way that the musical episode could be rated so high in the 100 Greatest Musicals - where was things like Miss Saigon (90 odd I believe) and ffs, 8 Mile got acclaim. That is well flawed. I mean, even things like Phantom and Joseph were lower than Buffy!

And Giles has got one of the most annoying accents going.

What else is wrong with Buffy? ubbidea Help me out Narr!
