So I have been working on getting dilegently this gig for the past two weeks. It is a permanent performance gig with a travelling dinner theater show from a highly recognised production company. What makes this gig so amazing is two things: I will still have time to do all my other gigs, and I get to show off my interactive improv acting skills, my singing skills as well as my belly dancing/fire skills.Technically, the show was fully cast when a friend referenced me for it. He didn't like one of the people on cast and they needed singing wenches or some such thing (it's a madgrigal!). Anyway, I had been planning on getting to the rehearsal tonite and as luck would have it, we are buried under an ice/snow storm so all life is on hold it seems. I talked with the director over the phone for some time, and he said I am one of the most well put together performers he has ever encountered. While he said he wished he had have known me earlier so he could cast me as a principle actor, instead I get to do belly dancing and fire as a "specialty" act. I get to do my whole renaissance gypsy wench thing too and sing the really bawdy pubsongs, pretend I am drunk by the end of the evening and I am the understudy for the lead female role as the Queen! And I get paid to do it, and I never had to audition! Performances for this company are always sold out to crowds of up over 1000 people, so this will also be amazing exposure for me!Yay! I am so thrilled I had to blurt to someone! grinNow, does anyone know how to do a Romanian accent? confused------------------Pele Higher, higher burning fire...making music like a choir...https://www.pyromorph.com

Congratulations on the job. Keep us updated on how it's going. grin grin grin grin

A kiss blown is a kiss wasted, the only kind of kiss is a kiss tasted.

I'm a woman. We don't say what we want, but we reserve the right to be pissed off if we don't get it. That's what makes us so fascinating and not just a LITTLE bit scary.

Kinudin,*giggle*Romanian..as in Transylvania and such, not Roman, like Greek winkI suppose neither has an accent if you are from there, but I am not. I can pull off most accents pretty well but the slavic ones sometimes throw me a little. The improv is the really easy part for me. I am more concerned about the belly dancing than anything. Sometimes you just don't know how people will react to it.Thanks all!------------------Pele Higher, higher burning fire...making music like a choir...https://www.pyromorph.com
