My last post in that thread was November 17th in reply to Joe Sixsteps as follows:

What am I doing living in the UK again?

Although if the latest news is true - in 20 years Europe could be as cold as Alaska. Of course by then my prime snowboarding years will be behind me and my zimmer frame will have to be put on skis. Bloody fantastic!

So out with the old and in with the new. However there will still be lollies and hugs and cups a tea on offer.

Thanks for the welcome. Please come and play wiv me again tongue

Edit

And a Helen - yay! Sorry princess, did not mean to exclude you, we posted in unison. Synergy Dec 13th is a definite. By that date I intend to have all my Christmas shopping done, I finish my first term of massage class that day and there will be only 1 week of work to go - PARTY!

I would love to give you a massage sweetie. Busy all this week alas but next week is free. If you can come to Tooting its best, but its too heavy to carry around. Alternatively I could work on the floor if you have nice thick mat that you could lie on, but would be better for me to use the couch due to posture. Um, let me know when you are free (Tue & Thurs) best for me.

So how will I decorate my thread? When I was a kid we used to wait for the bus, and shivering in the cold imagine that inside teh tree by the bustop there was a secret doorway to a house inside. Of course being a fantasy, inside the tree was a big house a la 'the faraway tree'. So I think my thread will be a magical house inside a tree, with a lamplit library with a fireplace, filled with overstuffed cushions in one corner, a pool in the floor with fishies swimming around. A swing bed hangs from the ceiling. The branches of the tree are little slides into magical lands, such as the Iand of teaparties, so I won't need a kitchen as food will appear magically. As this is also a fantasy I never need to pee, and I can just go and have a wash in Narr's jacuzzi tongue

Oooh Cass, I'm becoming more familiar with strokes and sequencing, and feel invigorated afterwards also.

A friend and I were talking, she said to me that she thought people were either born healers or they were not. I disagree as I think everyone posesses the ability to be a healer, psychic etc, we just use such a small proportion of our brains that we don't know how to tap into it. Hopefully I can tap into my potential as a healer and be able to give you a smashing massage next time we meet hug

Hallo, Kat! hug

I think some people definitely possess more of an innate healing spark than others, but just about anyone can develop what they have if they truly care. The thing is, a big part of that initial spark is the caring.

And if you're trading massages, can I be included? I have yummy smelling jasmine massage oil.

E pluribus unum, baby.

Thanks for dropping by Pounce, hmmmm - wonder will the mention of Jon's pubes lure you to my thread or send you running screaming!

Regyt - you may be a bit far away for a massage in the real world. I have great plans to make it to New York as I have friends living over there that I have not seen in ages. Great plans, but now great finances, so it could be a while, but by then I should have a few more massage techniques down.

Isn't it funny how some words make you wince.

I know lots of people who have issues with the word 'moist'.
However moist is generally an innocent word. Such as
'Nyum, isn't this cake moist' biggrin

Hi Kat, wave

Conas a tà tù?

I read in Jafar's thread that you'll be back on this fair isle on the 20th. Unfortunately I'll be heading away snowboarding on the same day, so won't be around. Will be back on the 27th though if you're still about...?

And..... I'll actually be in London this coming weekend. Heading over on the 12th and back on the 15th. Was kinda thinking about checking out that Synergy event. Would you recommend it? And are tix needed in advance or could you pay at the door?

Gah! Sure is.

Running home to watch Buffy with Tia,and then crawl into my bed with a hot water bottle and a vat of chocolate and self-pity! Sounds like the perfect evening ubblove

Think Synery is a 'yay'. I need a fix of decent music before I head back to Mullingar. Hmmm imaginary conversation with Mullingar person re: psytrance
Mullingar Hick: I went all the way to Dublin to see Yer wan Dido (yer man David Gray) last week, it was [censored] A1. Were ya at any good gigs or clubs in London?
Moi: Yes, I was Synergy last week, some great psytrance and ambient acts were playing
Mullingar Hick: psychowhat?? I liked The Swan when I went to London myself.

ubbtickled Ohmiomy! I am a snob! 'Course not everyone are hicks, but all of the 'clubs' are truly a joke. The only way I can get through a night on the tiles in Mullingar is get completely and utterly wasted, but that trick has had my friends and I traipsing to casualty in the past, due to my unstable balancing act redface So now, I am more sensible but there is nothing to dull the pain of listening to Meatloaf, Britney and a dance version of country roads rolleyes. Usually I just go to the pub and try to avoid going on anywhere.

Know how you feel James - Back out into the darkness. Get up - dark, go home - dark. The only sunlight I see is when I go out to buy my lunch!
