Hey yall I'm back from my week and a half in Cali. Went there to see one of my bros, Kaleb, graduate from the Marines. I took tons of pics!

Before we got to San Diego my family and I made a detour up to see the Grand Canyon...OMG is that thing so freaking huge! It doesn't look that big on TV, but when you are there in person, it sure is! It was one of my other bros b-days. My parents gave him and my youngest bro and me the greatest present EVER! They paid for each of us to go on a helicopter and fly over and around the Grand Canyon!!!!! Joseph (turned 16 on Nov.4) sat up front with the pilot and Patrick and me sat at the back by the big windows! I used up a whole disposable camera just taking pics out the helicopter! It was so breathtaking to fly over and see everything that most people don't get the chance to see.

On our way to Cali we had to drive through most of West Texas, lower part of New Mexico, and straight across the whole state of Arizona.

Went through some dust storms that covered the road to where the vehicle in front of you completely disapears. Had some snow up around the Grand Canyon. So many freaking mountains throughout the whole trip! Humoungest dairy farms that stretched for like 4 or 5 miles.

Saw all the destruction from all the wildfires in Cali around San Diego. The mountains looked like the surface of the moon and were burnt black. Even the huge bolders were charred black! You could see white spots on the ground where the fire had burned so hot. The gardrails on a section of road were melted to the road. Some of the pavement on the highway was burnt and it will need to be torn up and re put back down. Peoples homes were gone and vehicles were charred. You could see where the flames stopped before reaching some people's homes. Everything above on the mountain was black and then it suddenly became grassy and not black from the fires. It was wierd.

Saw a few wrecks too while on the road. It sucks when you are in a cramped truck and have to drive from about 430am-5pm or so every single day! Didn't get to stop that much to stretch our legs except to refuel and to pee.

When we got to see Kaleb we were so happy. It had been 3months since he left for the Marines. He graduated series high shooter out of his whole company. There were ALOT of cadets in his company. There were 7 platoons within Hotel Company. Our family and friends are so proud of him! The thing I thought was so neat was whenever they were marching or turning, they did it at exactly the same time to where you heard one beat. I had been in ROTC in high school and it was hard enough getting my small company to do that let alone about 300 or 400 cadets! I will have to get my film developed and put some pics up here for yall to see.

Well I go for now ttyall laterz!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

Thank you Pounce

Sorry I had not responded sooner, I have been tired and busy from work. I'm wearing my bro's company name t-shirt. He leaves on Monday to go back to San Diego for more training and then will leave for Pensecola, FL.

I'm gonna miss him being around whenever I go home.
