Hi all - sorry to intrude but I'm looking for talented poi- ers and jugglers to help me make an evening of entertainment that much better!

I am organising the Women's Space at Manchester Pride this year and thought some on site entertainment would be great to go with everything else that's going on.

Women's Space is an independantly organised part of the Pride weekend - there are only 2 of us who organise the whole thing!

Women's Space is on Sunday 30th August 5pm-11pm in Sackville Gardens and is a ladies only space - hence the name! It is an evening of music, holistic therapies, lifestyle stalls - and there is also food and drink available.

hey peacockdreams! nice to have a fellow boosh fan around here! the forums have been getting quieter lately, but people do still check in from time to time. I'm from liverpool myself, but do attend the manchester meets every now and then. I think the manchester home of poi meets have merged with the circus jam meets. If you are on facebook, look up circus jam, they'e always updating with details of meets, usually every saturday or sunday.

as far as i know, they usually meet at the castlefield ampitheatre, so its right in the centre really.

hi i was wondering when your next meet was in manchester and if i have to be any good to atend lol, i know a few basic moves but not many and i would like to attend one of your meets just to get out and practice. i try to practice at home but as i dont have much space (and live in a terrace house) when ever i go out front to practice i get quite alot of attention from the neighbours which i would mind if i was any good but whist i am nt at the moment i feel like a bt of a clown lol hopefully i will hear from one of u soon and thanks for taking the time to read this any of you that do !! hey a.j and blaise, this thread seems to be getting quieter and quieter lately, you're probably best checking out the circus jam page on facebook(if you're on facebook that is!!!)

The manchester HoP meets seem to have merged with the circus jam meets, which, on the whole, can't be a bad thing.

I'm sure flashpoint or another passing manc regular will post info about the meets as and when they pop into this thread. I'm not in attendance at the manc meets as regular as i'd like to be, so i'm not always in the know!

They tend to be on Sundays in Castlefield (by the steps or up on the grass by the fort).

Circus Jam is a space for anyone regardless of age or ability to come practice/teach/learn/play with Poi, Diablo, Hoops, Juggling, stilts, unicycles and all things Circus related. We have many poi spinners who come regularly. This is also a jamming session for Musicans.

Circus Jam Has 2 weekly sessions...

Saturdays @ The Contact Theatre 12.30-2.45pm

I'm thinking about coming up to one of the manchester meets or the liverpool meets pretty soon with some of the circus skills society from Oxford..... is the weekly meet still up and running?

Wow this feels like moving back into an old house you used to live in after its been done up! had an amazing time last night with a few of the old faces and a few of the new. We are planning a fire meet for 9pm, Monday 7 June at Formby beach. We'll have an amp, so if you all bring your Ipod etc we can rotate the music. Please come along if you can make it, Liverpool needs a regular fire meet!
