Common Ground 09 - SOLD OUT!!! (not kidding!)

Hi Everyone!

Can I just please ask people to STOP emailing me. I would love to say yes to you - but you I can't.

It's kinda like the Falls festival (well not really- but there's an analogy here just wait for a bit) - we have a certain amount of tickets. We have sold ALL the tickets. We are sold out. There are no more tickets. In fact there is no more space, no matter what. Bribes, volunteering, tears, etc. I have to say No to all of them - and its not like I like doing it. So please. The site is full, there is no more room at the inn. That's it.

Stop giving me more work to do and making me feel bad coz I have to say No.

Perhaps next time (not next year.... next time) I will have to get everyone to write in 25 words or less why they would like to go to CG....

I've got a workshop idea in the making, hopefully I can pull it off. I'm not gonna reveal it until I research it some more

im planning to run an 'introduction to physical theatre' type workshop on the friday afternoon.

got a few ideas that i hope we can build into the final CG show on the saturday night.

since this is the last cg - id really love to go out with a bang for the show.

id really encourage people to think of new ideas/acts/concepts to contribute to the brainstorming. basically if theres anything you have wanted/thought would be cool involving fire/juggle etc - id love to hear it.

along the same line's as ed; renegade is back! ill be your host once again, so please, do think of things you'd love to show everyone, whether its amazing, amazingly stupid, or something moka would do, please bring it, we'd love to see...

except moke in his thermals.. again...

in adition to that, after the renegade ill be doing a 'night driving to naracoorte' workshop, then a monday morning 'driving the rest of the way home' workshop...

careful what you wish for...moka may do an act OUT of his thermals...

Well the screams would probably win him the prize!

Have a great time in SA peoples. I'm not coming this year cos I've decamped to Bali. Got some spinning space in my yard if ya visit though!

problem with Jelly wrestling is that it requires a lot of jelly. Does anyone know how much??? It seems like a lot to me 50 packets??. Also a reasonably big disposable inflatable wading pool...

Corn starch, water and food colouring?

is corn starch mixed with water the stuff that acts like a solid when you hit it and a liquid when you pour it? or am I thinking of some other mixture?
If everyone brought 1 container of jelly tho (for those flying in, put it in an icecream container and pack it in your luggage - it's only for wrestling in afterall) then we'd have more than enough jelly and would just need a wading pool to put it all in.

I wonder if that concoction would work as sock poi filler?
