I just impaled my arm on an iron railing, while trying to pick a blackberry..

Then, while freaking out (could see right through to the muscle) trying to phone someone who would be able to drive me into town (not really wanting a 45 minute walk with blood dribbling down my arm when I wasn't even sure where the hospital was), or figure out where to get money out for the bus, or which one I was even supposed to get on- a bus drives up with 'Free Hospital Bus' written on it.. which stopped, and let me on..

I still can't figure out if I was lucky or unlucky, but I now have 3 stitches, and what will be a funky scar.

You have a free hospital bus? That's such a damn good community idea!

It's basically the bus for hospital staff to get to work, I've never seen it before..
Though I agree it is awesome, and there should be a few more of them, with timetables up, so people can make better use of them.

Conversely, my own Ipod has finally given up the ghost.

Hmmm, I just recieved a $30 voucher from a caping store today. The catch? I have to spend at least $100 in order to redeem it. While I'm well aware of the fact that free shopping vouchers, memberships and discounts are strategies to keep customers returning, generally this only works IF THEY ARE CONSIDERED TO BE VALUE FOR MONEY.

Let's compare. Shop A (currently under fire) gave me a free membership with a 10% discount, advance warnings of sales, and freebies like the voucher above. Their 10% discount works differently: I pay the correct amount, and recieve a rebate at the end of the year equal to a tenth of the amout purchased.

Shop B on the other hand has a membership with similar benefits. I have to pay $10 to join, but when I did I got a $20 voucher - and immidiate use of discounts (5% to 25% depending on the product). I get further discounts on sales as well - in addition to the lowered prices.

*sigh* Rant over. I should get back to homework.

I didn't get the damn job. Aw well. One doesn't expect to be successful on their first job interview.
