Got a small one to use in our new retro-circus. Now we have to figure out how to use it. Suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks!

I'd jump on it! I know it sounds utterly insane, but hey - I love living on the edge. Sorry. I have nothing of value to contribute to this thread.

How small? This small? This small? I assume its indoors - you might want to get a rope and harness, sort of like this: However - you could go down the bungee route, or the rope route. The advantage of the rope route, is if someone is practising flips or spins - the person on the other end o the rope can give it an extra hard pull, thus causing the jumper to be suspended for slightly longer, meaning that they can complete the required number of spins. They can then work out the kinks in it, and either speed up the flips or slow them down as needed. Like this (sorry is all pixelated, my pencil has a rectangular point and doesnt let me draw straight lines) Please, remember, you don't need to dress up like Mario, but it is highly recommended.

Gee FF, thanks so much! I'd never thought of that! UCOF, it's small, like the 1st one. A 3 footer for easy transport, moving on stage, rolling around, etc. We want to do a bunch of creative stuff with it, but we are stumped. Hmmmm, wondering if we can set up some of the aerial stuff with it. Hmmmmmm..... Mario? Can I dress up like Zelda instead? I think Mario's moustache might look heavy odd on my face.

i can imagine it would be really good if you have people who are good at acrobatics or balancing?
Or how about hooping and bouncing?! That would be amazing!! I would pay to see that!!

Mr_Joe. You beat me too it! Jo, I would to! I could see that on the arms, for example, and even that would be interesting to do counter, hoop down while you're up, for example. On the hips, I am having issues envisioning it. Thanks for the really awesome thoughts. Hmmmm... On an aside, I just spent a bunch of time on it and when I got off I had "sea legs". It was soooooo weird! lol

Good way for toning up bums, i'd love a trampoline! I think it would be fun if your performers would dance across the stage in a line and each do a bounce on the trampoline, and when they do, they could do a funny pose or something, maybe at the end of your act? I don't know, my brain's only just woken up!!

Jo we are definately playing with the hop-jump-fly-in-a-funny-way thing. Well...mostly we are working with the don't-crash-on-the-landing part Not only do you feel it in the back side but *wow* the legs and it's far more aerobic than we thought to. The guy in the group who was in cross country running for years had his butt kicked in minutes. It was funny. It's odd. What we are running into now is too much pressure/jump and you fly out of control (fun but bad for show). Too little and you just flop, also funny but bad. Because it's round we're also playing with rolling it to one another as well, which opens alot for some slapstick play and perhaps some interesting bounce juggling vaiations. Maybe....if nothing else, it's been fun playing. Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions!

You could get two and have tree people jumping in a three ball pattern between them?

Okay, aston, that is an awesome idea. We tried Jo's hold it and let someone else bounce on it thing...yeah. We aren't strong enough. I need to hit a gym. Well, UCOF. Right now I'm midair on a bounce. I have my laptop strapped to my neck..oh wait, now I'm down..and aaaaaagh! You asked for an update Bounce juggling is crazy on it. We've taken the holding it up and someone running into it "accidentally" then the same person falling bum onto it and coming up. Hula hoop still confuzzling. Also we've worked with a net, jump rope style and then netting the person. Summer is our high season where all practice stops so we haven't been practicing alot. What we have been doing has been fun. We're being courted for "Adult Standard" shows (the new term that relates to entertainment for people of the Vaudeville era, not the other kind of adult you naughty, naughty thinkers !!). Anyway, the vaudeville presentation for this thing will be perfect for that. Again, thanks so much all for the inspiration and the thoughts!

someone brought one of those to a doof here in Adelaide once and left it on the dancefloor. I bounced for an hour to music at between 133 and 140 bpm. Loved it. and yeah I know about the sea legs. I'd rather have a mini tramp like this: then you can do high saults, baranis and stuff. So much fun.

I dunno how practical it would be, might be a bit dangerous. Much practice needed methinks.

Meh. Funny, that is one of the few typos I have done at all on this forum.... It could be fun to see tHree people bouncing on two trampolines.
