Been working linear isolation/expanded linear isolation into my flow, lately. Same-direction split-time linear isolations are a lovely way to flow in and out of hybrids. Similar style of movement as Thomas. Some paralens bfly stuff. Zan's linear extension flowery stuff.

Little trick many of you may not know. If you click thomas's youtube video to take you to the actual youtube page for it, then in the address bar add "&fmt=18" (without the quotes) to the end of the address, it'll load the video in higher quality. Makes it more enjoyable to watch poi videos. This works on most youtube vids. Higher quality means longer load time but that shouldn't be a huge deal.
Thomas, Awesome vid, very very smooth movement! I'm gonna have to give that butterfly and the splittime isolation over the shoulder moves a shot, look very cool. Btw, what are your poi made of? Where'd you get them?

I once learned every move that there was, Every style, Every technique. Then I woke up, and forgot it all, So now I struggle to dream.
Woaaa wicked, didn`t have any idea that it was possible to do that on the tube, thanks
The poi I used at that time comes from Anya at www.feurekunstberlin.de or just use google She sells them I know that, dont know the price though :-/
Good luck with the movements, just ask if you need any help, don`t think you will need it though
the link needs to be changed slightly to feuerkunstberlin.de Or you could contact Anya directly via sistafirewire.de She is quite a talented maker of spinnable objects, not to mention gorgeous.

Side that!
The YouTube addition works with every vid? That's awesome! How come I haven't noticed this anywhere? Should add this to the OP of the YouTube-thread... ?

That would be a bit like a double throw, but more subtle yes?

Well, both yes and no. I would call it a switch, a throw for me is when the poi got a momentum that takes it upwards, a drop is downwards a switch is when it stays in same position but no hands attached to the poi. Stall both infront of you with crossed arms arms, realease and switch hands and pull them back....
Hard to explain with the english I got, come here and show you

I got what you are saying.
Will play with it. <offtopic> Argh.... I have too much cool stuff that needs to be polished/worked on!
Flowers and isolations are the biggies though. Then throws and now switches. Plus a whole lot of other stuff.
Sometimes I feel that there is too much that all you lovely people can do and I will never catch up. But when one of those moves clicks it is all worthwhile. </offtopic>
Someone was talking about figure eights a page back. I do something similar, I think. Once I get the control right it will appear so: .__ /oo\ \oo/ --
Basically make two circles, one top right, other bottom left. Then swap it to bottom right, top left. Then a giant circle, tuck it behind your head and repeat.
I will try get video or pic. I would not say that this is advanced, but it might give someone some ideas.
<goes off to play with poi and get out of the advanced moves forum>

I made a video of some of the things I've been working on excuse the sloppy spinning my wrists have been hurting me a lot and interfering with my practicing/control, hopefully you see the ideas and not necessarily the execution :P
I don't know how it's called but my left poi is spinning forwards and my right poi is spinning backwards then I do a rev. weave motion with my hands. So my left poi is anti-spinning. Does someone know the name of this weave?
