Quick question (sorry my terminology is pretty poor), so imagine a huggy...turn to one side and keep them there, leaving the poi in split time, same direction (forwards or backwards..still with arms crossing in front). Now..

Forwards - which ever arm is underneath inverts(?) through the gap between your arms while the other remains spinning outside, this leaves the other arm underneath allowing for repetition.

Backwards - whichever arm is on top inverts

I think maybe a notcoleman(#?), anyway just learnt that (fw&bw)

My question is this.. could this be done with a butterfly pattern rather than same direction, but with both inverting simultaneously?

Sorry if this makes no sense, clarity upon request

burda - sounds like a notcolman to me, you should be able to fit that same inversion into a 3 and a 5 bt weave. you can do a similar thing in butterfly aswell. from thread the neadle spinning outwards, when your right arm is on top invert your right poi as you push it to the front... simililarly for your left arm.
not sure why im in this thread as i havnt learnt any new poi moves :/

1/2 BF Introversion(butterfly, opposite, wheel)

Decypher duration: 1 night 3 hours
Difficulty: Hard

Base move: BF cross-over

Recomending: 1/2 Introversion, Notcoleman

SIDE:

-Start move is BF cross-over wheel plane, now at one side you
do either Notcole or Introversion.

Notcoleman <-> Cross-over <-> 1/2 Introversion ||
1/2 Introversion <-> Cross-over <-> Notcoleman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is an example of even move.

mirroring,

Somehow it rarely occurs to me to post my progress here?!

Sooo, Last night I learned a wheelplane 1st degree butterfly inversion (aka barrel roll) weave (split-time). It's rather trinity (or is that just wonky).
More trinity butterfly madness: weaving introversions in wheel and wall, 0degree inversion stuff, planebending silliness.

Also started to work with stall to direction switches ala Red Raven

Revisited Notcolman2 variations.

Other stuff I can't clearly remember cuz it was late.

BF Introversion (butterfly, opposite, wheel)

Base: BF Weave

Basicly this is combinatiob of BF wall plane Inswings(!TTN)

Insiwng <-> Cross-over <-> Inswing

Both are done at each side "wheel style", connected
by cross-over transitions.

BF Inswing's <-> Cross-over <-> BF Inswing's

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to previous combination, this move
do not use Notcole,but only cross-over to tra-
verse the side.

more simple and more nice,

Been reading Rev's Manifesto over on spherculism, absolutely blinding. I totally get inversions, introversions and insides now, about time! I've noticed though, a lot of the time when people are saying "inverted" what they mean (and this is according to Rev's definitions, which I think are the most concise way of thinking about this stuff) is "it has an inswing in it". Meh, it's a can of worms....

Anyway, to the point: I've now got wrong weave, introversions (on my left side, for some reason when I do it on my right, my left hand spazzes out trying to get the poi under my right arm), all of the 0 degree twist inversions, split time butterfly ttn with inswing (not sure how Rev's inversion rules apply to butterfly patterns yet), what I think is a butterfly introversion (where both poi inswing at the same time), and some interesting antispin hybrid patterns courtesy of Alien Jon's wicked animations. Phew...

What is wrong weave? Ive seen it in some other topics and actually read thru the explaining but didnt get it at all. Why dont anyone have a video of it?!
Its not very often at all I get curious about stuff that I dont recognize cos I know that I wouldnt understand how to do it and im way to lazy to read thru everything :P
But if a weave is wrong but still right and called a trick that seems to be very difficult then I wanna know

It's a notcoleman3 variant. It's a 3bt weave, with an inswing done by the hand that's crossed over to the other side (ie left hand on right side and vice versa), and that enters the inswing from above your arms rather than below.

Video of the Wrong Weave aka 3bt weave with cross side inswing. Thanks to Rev for that one.

I cant se the video, damn quicktime and apple and me that doesnt know much about computers

Had a great session tonight with some friend in the prk and Ive learned some new stuff.

-------

*The antispin flower infront of you where the poi move in the same plane then you turn so you end up doing a antispin flower in one plane btb. I learned that one with only three pedals tonight :P

*The best stallcombination ive find out so far camed tonight. In the video I got on youtube where I stall the right hand behind and round my head so wick are on my left side of the face and the left wick is on the right side of my face but the stall are a uppwardsstall. You do that untill you get some speed and then yiou jump upp and do a 360 piruett and land with the same stall again, WICKED nice :P

*hand to wick butterfly hybrid in a weave motion is slowly comming also I guess it would be possible to do a hand to wick butterfly weave? Lets practice some more and se what happens

-------

This is some of the things and I realize more and more that I need to learn the poilanguage if I want to be able to share my things cos I think that noone will understan what I written above Am I right?

Ok, I know everyone in this thread is going to say, "Lame." However, I have this problem with my self-esteem (as in, I have none), and I had spent some time learning from a fellow who was a master of..... everything he touched. Honestly, I have never considered any of the stuff I do to be anywhere near advanced, especially when this one trick had been staring me in the face, taunting me for so long. Tonight, for no particular reason, on an unseasonably mild night.... it clicked, and I want to shout it from the rooftops!!!!!

I PULLED OFF THE BEHIND THE BACK WEAVE!

.... *sheepish* of course, the result was, about thirty seconds after I realized I was doing it, I proceded to ratherly firmly clock myself in my stupidly big grin. That was five milliseconds after remembering I hadn't figured a way OUT of the behind the back weave.

So, yeah, you can ignore me all you like, because it still feels like a baby move after so long of it staring me in the face, but I feel good.

I PULLED OFF THE BEHIND THE BACK WEAVE!

Whether or not you're personal growth is on the cutting edge of modern poi, I say congratulation on your own personal advanced move!! It feel good when you level up, regardless of where your level is in relation to other spinners.

Regarding getting back out, here is a thread on tribe.ney about some exercises that will get you used to turning in and out of behind the back positions:

Hope that helps some,

hyperloop fountain, at long last! only took 9 months to get that!

also working on cleaning up anti-spin weave

finally able to turn with 3:1 long-arm/isolation wall plane flowers (or mercedes) and turning with wall-plane anti-brid flowers.

working on those anti-spin elliptical cat eyes

finally gotten some weird atomic weaves, (one hand corkscrew the other wall plane, going into box weave, into box ttn etc...)

I feel like breakthroughs are just crashing over me the last few weeks, and it's wonderful!!
