European Juggling Convention 2008 in Karsruhe (Germany)

hello,

the ejc will be in Karlruhe from the 2nd of august to 10th of august 2008.

This year, we want to make the fire-space more comfortable, so we would love to get some sugestions what poiple need.

The city of Karlsruhe is concerned about any pollution by kerosene. Clean spinning will be an important topic at the fire-space.

Not using kerosene is probably the only way to avoid any pollution...

as far as I know any fuel made out of oil polutes the nature.

the only way is to take care and fight for every drip.

the consequent usage of shake-off-cans is one thing. another thing might be the covering of the ground in the preparation-zone with a foil or a carpet.

Everybody wants to do burnoffs and Fire Breathing so there will be drips anyway...

There's paraffin based (mostly) on rapeseed-oil (lat. brassica rapa). That might be the cleanest option if you can find it.

You could try and source some ShellSol D-60 - much less smoke, and odourless - but tricky to come by (unless you're in Australia...)
Not sure if it's any more/less "green" then kero though.

incidentally, i'll probably drive over from PLAY... 3 seats going cheap.... any takers?

Then year after will be Finland!

Im definately going... in my opinion they keep getting better and better (although trying to beat Athens will be hard pushed - sun, sea, sand, acropolis...)

Germany will definitely will be one EJC in the very center of Europe, therefore with loads of people from all over the Union... (it's not "too far" for anyone)... I highly recommend coming... *e.w.*

I'd rather recommend to make some kind of mixture out of ejc/karlsruhe and boom/portugal........its always like that, aint it.....you will always miss at least one convention and have to decide......so have fun making up your minds.....

boom is wonderful and more than just a convention......
