UCSF... It's official!!!!!

Go Doc! Home is where the heart is indeed.

Funny how many songs there are about San Francisco. There's also one about a "City by the Bay."

Most people I know would rather give up their careers and work as garbagemen than leave San Francisco. Most people who move there never leave. People who grow up there and strike out to discover a new place wind up regretting it.

I think that's why it gathers so many songs.

I defy anyone to spend one clear sunset there and then leave without wanting to stay forever.

Well, this time, when I leave it'll be feet first.

HOP has been a home away from home. In fact, it was the move away from SF that stimulated me to post on HOP.

It's a gorgeous day in New York City. Cool, crisp autumn. Trees are still green, sky is a bright psychedelic blue, wisps of clouds, golden light from the sun. Children were playing, people were walking their dogs, the city seemed to be truly alive. It was one of those days when I love New York City and everything about it.

I snapped a photo of the view up Lexington Avenue from 79th st. A gorgeous shot. I sent it to three friends in California with the caption:

Congratulations on getting accepted into UCSF, the most prestigious medical program out there, imho. I used to be in medicine, but not for me. And you get to live in San Francisco! Though NYC is loads of fun too, I've visited SF many times and lived in NYC for a few years. Anywhoo, yay for you!
