And I shall bring small cakes to the gig today. Who's in town for a spin saturday night? Props to TheDee, nothing better than knowing more about constitutional law than the Garda trying to move you on! Still get beaten up but you KNOW you're right! And get to feel righteously angry about it! RAHR!!!!

*mmm...please, normalitea with two sugars, i like it sweet, its a compensatory thing*
hi guys,
I've just been on to mcp and co. about this big meet down the country and there's a votary system being put in place over when it should be... first or second week in june
So let me know what suits you all before next week (if you have no preference, or don't care in the slghtest about it one way or the other (the same thing really) then "reserve thy censure" as they say...
Any help from you guys with friendly musician types, spinny/juggly/nice people, and or D.Js who are only waiting for the opportunity to meet up with a bunch of heads in a field by the woods on the edge of an organic farm for the weekend and celebrate the facets of the great dance in which they find their feet then let them know, let me know, let the world know...and we'll sort something out
*all are welcome*
Clare , could you check your mail, thanks
Barry, that MP3 player is mine, methinks i heard rumour it was lurking in your flat...
Ronan, i'm working next weekend, come up earlier, or later
Track of the day:
I reccomend "Telefon Tel Aviv: 8 track project cut" from the "Immediate Action EP" enjoy

As for galway visits what about Sunday, Monday and maybe Tuesday of next weekend? (1st-3rd April) Keep checking those cupboards! See you soon

Just to point out, Brian (DJC organiser) and Oisin are trying to raise money (€650 per person) to go sky diving in aid of a charity for the blind.
Anyway meeting up in town tonight for a bit of a spin/drum/jugggle/hoop and what not for a bit of craic. Also town will be packed with all the peopels from the match so it should be a right larf.
Later skaters

UberParis is on from June 15th - 17th, so probably best not to clash with that...
About the Temple Bar thing - the squares in Temple Bar are basically private property, controlled by Temple Bar Cultural Trust. Therefore they have the power to decide whether or not you can be there. Last year they gave us the use of Meeting House Square for the DJC fireshow, as we provided them with an insurance certificate, safety plan etc.
This year we asked for the same again. Unfortunately they were not happy because fuel had made the ground slippery last year, so they did not want the DJC back. In the end though, the decision was made (not by me) to hold the DJC fireshow in their other square, Temple Bar Square. Without arranging permissions, insurance etc.
I think it's fairly safe to assume that Temple Bar Cultural Trust will not have been very happy about this, and that it is unlikely that they will be particularly welcoming to the DJC or to fire performers in future.
Grafton Street is still the best bet for busking in Dublin, although you do have to get a good spot, where the street is quite wide as it can get pretty congested. The guards will usually not bother you if you have safety stuff e.g. fire blanket visible, are not drinking or drunk, and if the ground is not getting slippery. Basically, if you look like you know what you are doing, you will usually be fine.
i've recently been wondering about Smithfield as a potential busking spot - the space is certainly there. Does anyone know if there is enough foot traffic for it to be worthwhile?
Hmm, this post turned out to be very long...

Well I'm fatty free at the moment and once again I'm amazed at how high I get from not smoking.... Had a lovely practice session in front of the solar collecter/mirror.... 4 steves in a row! New world record I'd say. Beat that! We have a few Catalan woofers down here at the moment, would it be ok if one of them came up with me perhaps? So I should be up in Galway Saturday evening, and hopefully stick around til tuesday. See ye then

Nice one Ronan Hope it continues going well... I'm just back from a hen weekend with my school friends in Newcastle, ai. Learned to pole dance like a good'un, like (might be able to steal one move... without looking like a prostitute... maybe). But I mainly spent my night laughing at the horror of stag/hen nightclubs... The DJ played: Country Road Time Warp YMCA Dancin on the Ceiling 9-5 blah blah, etc etc. Each song was accompanied by shrieks from my friends of 'this is my favourite song, ever!!' Argh. The air was thick with cheap perfume and aftershave; stale, spilt beer and testosterone. Coupled with the fact that the group of girls I was with were all pretty (at least, when compared to other.... patrons... of this nightclub)... so our circle was surrounded all night by rather ugly, rather sleazy, hormone-driven men. You could almost slip in the drool. Yeush. So I left early I was never into nightclubs... but it surprised me to realise how far I've removed myself from that scene. Anyways... hope y'all had a good weekend. And see you the first weekend in June xx PS: Eimhin... just saw my emails, been away all weekend...
