boo.... can't make that date

also, worked out yesterday that you can do an anti cattleman's (and anti cow n calf)

starting with whip in front and circling back, following same theory as forward (does almost feel like it's gonna break an elbow if you go too far)

Damn I can't make that either.

How does anti-cow and calf work? Cow and calf can just about go any place? up and down, back and forth high and low. and up and down behind you, as well as all of those horizontally...

I wish I could do bovrils Xtreme btb-ish cattlemans crack. It's so awesome. And underhand (in reverse weave) throws... Gotta get used to my Big whips first thou... At least the volley is easier with these big uns...

Whip cracking in the wet whilst it may LOOK great is a KILLER or the whip - I wouldnt recomend!!

is this true for nylon whips too, or just leather?

Nope - nylon whips are great in the wet

They'll get a bit heavier as they soak up some water, but not enough to substantially change how they handle. It may well make the cracks a bit louder because of the extra mass moving around, but that's not really a disadvantage

OoooOOoooo, seems like I will make it to the convention after all...

Almost got the volley sorted... enough to wonder how the hell I'm going to get it on the otherside of my body... and horizontal... Then maybe I can be a multi-crack master like musashii...

Ooo i just found an old stock whip in our garage, I totally forgot we ever had it.

I did learnt a few whip things when i was in Tasmania and would really like to have a go of this one. The only Problem is the little cracker is missing.

Could anyone tell me where i could get a replacement or how to fix it?

I'm a bit worried because the thin leather at the end is quite swollen around the last piece of the original cracker, I think it might make it hard to untie with out breaking the leather.

Thanks : )

just make sure you treat it before you use it if it's been lying around for a while. I've seen a few whips perish because people haven't used saddle soap or any other treatment to keep them supple.

Yup one step ahead of you.
It was in fairly condition any how considering how old it is. It was stored fairly well I think.

the whip cracking convention was good... intersting competitions... had good fun with simian and bovrilmonkey, ewan and pinknigel. learned a few bits and bobs, worked out some new stuff, did some silly things...

need a fluffy cracker and some target practise for the next one... and so I suppose I should update the first post with some new terminology...

Why thank'ee ma'am... Yes, it was good...

And big fluffy crackers are the way to go with blowing out candles, but stick with the diabolo string (or fishing line, but then you've *really* got to watch for the little tickles you give yourself now and again) for cutting spaghetti.

And yay! Juggling tonight and tomorrow, that means enough space to keep up the enthusiasm for big noises

found a coupla new triple cracks yesterday, which was nice... I really have to get the volley sorted on my left hand thou, in order to start work properly on double whips...

sooooo want to get a meteor whip crack... I think it's doable with the wee snake whips...
