Simple Pleasures

I'm sipping a deliciously rich hot Cocoa made by the Mexican lady down the street (hints of cinnamon) and it's cold out there and kinda blustery.

What recent simple (G-rated!) simple pleasures have you had lately?

Except for the most delicious seafood-pasta dinner I ate in Thailand so far, I happened to experience life in being good to me... I may have the chance to get a custom made firesword by early next year... and received compliments from strangers

I'm sure you can relate to this doc..

Looking after people

Most days I come out of work smiling because I know I've made someone elses life better.

Doc Lightning

I slept in till 10am this morning! Indigo is sleeping through the night now, sooo nice after three months of disturbed sleep.

i've just got a new piano book and i spent ages repeatedly playing the same song. Eventually i may master the art of playing and singing at the same time...

This past Saturday was full of simple pleasures! I spent the unseasonably warm afternoon in the park playing with poi & hoops & balls with some friends. I learned two new cj moves.

Checking out all the hot guys in the park throwing frisbees and footballs with their shirts off. (It would have been fun to scam on all the hotties with you, Doc )

Later that night, my Burning Man crew got together on our artcar and we drove around the City, parking in various random places and did karaoke and danced in the streets.

The activities themselves were fun, but the best (and simplest) part was spending time with people I love.

snuggly cats, snuggly friends, a lot of dancing,singing, sunshine, planting, pumpkin pie, great dinner parties, laughing with my silly pals...

Oh, and sipping Sortilege( maple whiskey) ... yum!!!

A jar of 70% Cocoa Butter Chocolate spread and a spoon (Or my finger failing that)...

Oh good, I thought Doc was going to start posting about the joys of a good bowel movement again.



Um... for me... My neighborhood. In general.

I had a man threatening legal action (with talk of Watch Dog and legal minded friends) because he said his central heating brakedown insurence cover dosent state that two or more radiators constitutes a brakedown...(he only had one radiator that failed to work in his property)

Sitting in my back garden, listening to the birds sing, and trying to work out what they're saying to each other. And spinning

waking up early on a saturday/sunday morning wathching kids cartoons like "avatar" and "sky kingdom" after having a smoke and looiking outside and seeing how cold and wet it is knowing i'm nice and toasty warm in my bed


or when i go to pay for my items at the shops and they forget to scan my beers that and walikng past a cash machine and finding money still in the tray

A warm bubbly bath, a good book and a glass of red wine!

yup, life is good at the moment

similar doc... took a friend who was on a bit of a downer to southbank and sat in the rainforest area with hot italian ciocs... lovely way to pass some time

also, taking the boys to the beach early saturday morning... we we there by 7:30am, ran ourselves ragged for a couple hours and on our way home by 9:30am... great way to start the day

There's an upside to global warming. Late October, and I can still wander about in a t-shirt - in Scotland! Who'd have thought it?

Reading posts from other HoPpers about how much they love chocolate spread from the jar, and the Avatar cartoons, plus all the other stuff that I like doing but that people I work with think is strange.

My simple pleasure for last week was going out at lunch time with two people I hardly know from work and getting quite drunk and merry for the first time in ages, then failing to return to work. It was naughty, but now I've got to know two people I work with, we didn't get busted by anyone and it was good fun.

Watching my daughter get fired up while cheering at her ball games and actually having her smile at me when I do the Xena Yell!!!

Oh...and watching the sun rise thru the trees while listening to the first morning bird calls!!!

Just have to RELEASE that inner warrior!!! Is ever so much fun!!!
