I know exactly what different things can be done to take a signature without actually being there and signing in America... but I have no idea how to deal with this in the UK! I havn't or means to send this by post or fax, and I've got someone printing it for me on the other end. I just don't know how to deal with the "signature" aspect...

anyone know?

Sorry if I'm being thick, but what is it you're actually asking... what are you doing? Paying for something? If so they usually ask for the code on the signature strip on the back for verification...

Sorry dude I don't understand what's going on from your message

So you're being asked by someone in the UK for a signature, and you can't give them one in person because you're currently in America?

Could you email a scan of your signature to the person printing it out, then get them to copy it onto the document?

Or, even better, could you sign the document, scan it in, then email the whole thing, signature included?

Sorry, not much help really.

Hope you're doing alright, and not too stressed!!

Might there be a local copy shop/library that can scan stuff for a fee?

Can they email you the document and you print it, sign it and post it back?

It certainly depends on what you're talking about. If you're signing a legal document then it certainly must be done in person. If you're signing up for something commercial I'm sure there are ways around it.

I can't imagine how you don't have the means to send it by post. Unless you are currently chained in someone's basement who you tried to pick up on the subway. Which I could totally see happening.

Fax, like MiG said, is in my opinion, the best option.

When my computer (eg my fax) is in the shop I just go to a local stationary/postal shop, pay $3 and it's faxed for me ... easy as
