Already looking forward to this! And seeing as I'm currently in Hong Kong celebrating New Year and about to fly to UberOz that's saying something!

Anyone from London planing to drive over in a van or big car to take over everyone's stuff & comfprt? Or a convoy?

There could be a lil mission planned, to Cork, via Belfast

Ask Garthy... he has a big yellow van

Hope you're well lovely Dom and having splendid travels ...

gabe you should soooooo come!

i'm going in a car with me mummy and daddy and probably princess hels (although i haven't told her that she has a lift if she wants it yet) and a bams only if we are very, very lucky (down to proper jobs and holiday allowances and all that)...

a spinner-based convoy sounds like a spiffing idea

the ferry from swansea to cork looks the most promising for us right now but the liverpool-dublin ferry is a possible too (its is a seriously long drive though!).

Puh... Not as far as from Belfast

(but we'll have more fun... maybe we could stop over somewhere on the way... maybe Tara?! )

Yeah, Edinburgh was just south of York originally, but then scots decided they wanted it for themselves. So, in 1982, a whole load of them decended upon the city with shovels and carried it off.
Understandably, it's pretty slow going carrying a city and it took them 15 years to get it into place, just in time to host the 21st EJC in it's new location.

anyone know what day we have to clear the site?

i know we have to turn up on sunday the 9th but its not clear when we have to leave...

i'm guessing we stay for the saturday night and clear out on the sunday (16th July) but i may well be wrong.

You are correct, you arrive Sunday 9th and leave Sunday 16th This one does seem to be causing a bit of confusion, so we're updating our website to make it clearer.

Um,
Are Australians allowed?

:

Yes

Written by: newgabe

Are we allowed to volunteer and save pennies and get stuff cheap cos we just spent our next 3 lifes savings on coming to play with a bunch of paleskins??

You are actively encouraged to volunteer. No, it doesn't get you in free (i'm paying too) but cheap stuff (food, beer, hugs depending on work done ) will be arranged where possible to thank you

just read something in Irish times aboutr circus finally getting grants in Ireland from arts council or something. In case ye haven't seen this yet, maybe its possible to get a bit extra funding for EJC?

Believe me, we're trying!

Keep the questions coming - it shows me what we have to add to our FAQ - and reassures me that lots of lovely poiple are coming

thanks for the updates helen.

i've booked the ferry and am suitably over-excited

i got another question (that i'm sure you've been asked lots already):

when will we be able to pre-register and approximately how much will pre-reg tickets be?

Hey Helen,

Three years ago I volunteered at the bar one night and it was one of the best nights ever. Would that be a possiblity this year? If so, where do I sign up?
