Help! Am new to the site and have been given a link here by a v.helpful person in the Netherlands! Was hoping someone could let me know of any planned meetings for spinners. I actually live in Kiddi but can travel in as long as public transport makes it feasable. Can't believe i find out about the bull thingy the day after it happens-just my luck.

Hi (this is our first post)
Were in to the Volkwagen Camper scene, we do,poi, fire poi, staff, glow stuff, juggling etc at VW festivals throughout the summers (about 2 years now). Its winter & we're bored any Brummie Poi meets going on ??????

heh, did you go to a VW fest in Shrewsbury last summer by any chance?

When it gets a bit warmer I daresay we'll be starting up Sunday evening spins again, but until then your best bet would probably be either of the Birmingham links here

Not sure about Shrewsbury - but we did about 20 last year. Do you know what it was called?

Thanks for the link - Selly Oaks not too far its close to a VW club meet in Harbourne at the 'Old House at Home' pub that we go to, so I think we'll find it OK.

:o)
No idea what it was called but the festival of all things spinny that was on the other side of the showground was called Play, and it was fantastic. You should so go this year.

No worries for linky. Keep your eye out on this thread - my spider senses tell me that Brum people are getting restless and will erupt into a spinning meet sometime fairly soon.

I am currently looking rather black, I should start the whole practicing thing again, gotten lazy.Just noticed whilst spinning that I've ripped one of my handles at Dunc's so should probably get new ones, seems a waste just to get new handles so am currently figuring out how to make new poi.

Anyway after that rather pointless rambling, I shall likely be up for most spins.

Hey, the sundays meetings in selly park are starting again. We'll be doing some fire spinning in Selly Park, starting between 7 and 8, it's near selly oak station, im sure there's a map in the first page of this forum.

Hope to see you there

Santiago

Santiago - do you want me to edit the first post for next week's meet? (correct answer is yes! )

I think it should start at around 6pm next week: get some daylight playing in before we break out the firejuice.

PM me or see my post on the purple mermaid board.

well...i'm kinda back

hope you guys have been keeping well.
i've been hibernating over the winter and i think it may be time to start spinning once more.
(though i've gotten really rusty and sucky at spinning now i think).
