A weave where the poi go in the wrong direction compared to your hands. So for instance a forwards AS weave has the hands doing a backwards weave motion - each hand does over-back-under instead of over-under-back.

Tips - it should sort of feel like a weird isolation And try doing it in the wall plane first and turning your body on each side.

is it doing the motions for the reverse weave with the poi spinning forwards vice versa? because i did that and it just felt like a five beat weave.

I'll do a break down later on, once I've woken up some...

'Tis a bit of an ass of a move to get your head round first thing...

I take it you can do other antispin things? I would suggest learning antispin flowers first, then learning other anti spin things... It'll make it easier if you have some understanding of antispin first...

in theory, EVERYTHING can be antispun. Except antispin. That would just be silly...

I'm not the best person to ask about antispin moves... I'm guessing you've done a search?

Anyway, AntiSpin weave...

spin forwards. right arm goes under the left arm and forwards, as left arm goes backwards and slightly up, towards your body. (so you end up with arms crossed-ish). next you uncross your arms on your left side of your body. then push your right arm under left arm so that your arms are like thy were earlier, but on the other side of your body. uncross, repeat as desired.

Not easy to explain. I doubt you'll get it from this, but hey. This move took me hours of solid practicing before I got anywhere with it... It's easier to see it.

there's a tonne of discussion on antispin weaves here.

rev gives a very good explanation along with some indispensible diagrams that show poi and arm positions to guide you through.

i don't actually have a decent video of this move i'm afraid.

i'd have a go at making one but to be honest i'm crap at it and can only do the version with inside crossovers (where the hands only transition into buzzsaw rather than back to their own sides).
and i don't have a video camera which doesn't help much either

whereabouts in essex do you live?

Watch Oli's 'sending signals to spaceships'.

He does the AntiSpin Weave in there. (it's the bit where you watch it and think 'what the hell is going on there?)

As for tutorial vids... You're gonna have to ask someone nicely to make one...

I'll try and make videos next month with the new camera I'm getting..

I also find that antispin is best done isolated.. (even though my isolations are weak at best) because the isolation helps keep your hands out of the way of where the poi need to go... or at least thats my excuse at the moment.. I have no real data to back that up.. crossovers are pretty important too.. they cross at top and bottom instead of front and back.. I could get into why I think perpendicular crossovers are important.. but I'd just confuse people.. myself included..
