vamp - i respectfully refer you to garthy's signature

so who'll give me a cookie if i make a fountain tutorial and variations video...?

although, it'll have to be a cookie with mini dv tapes in it instead of chocolate chips cos all mine are full up now.

and i'll have to get someone else to do one of them hyperloop fountains for me cos i can't do those bloody things to save my life

I will DEFINITELY give you a cookie if you make a fountain video. Coleman is the one who showed me the light.

Then I'm gonna make a whole bunch of incorrect tutorials just to piss everyone else off. As well as incorrect instructions on how to make sparkly poi from sawdust and kitty litter.

Maybe I can just start a new poi website propegating every possible misconception...

(Make sure to soak your new wicks in whitegas for TWO WEEKS before using them... Be sure and soak your clothing in water before spinning so you don't burn... Drink a glass of milk before putting gasoline in your mouth... )

antispin fountain means antispin weave.. I've rarely seen an antispin weave, and even more rare is a well done antispin weave..

that being said.. this thread has completely confused me on what a fountain is.. time to do a search

nahh

anti spin weave is one thing. anti-spin fauntain is another.

you can do both together, but that does my head in.

anti spin fountain:

do a fountain.

now, do it the wrong way.

i.e. forwards on the left, up behind your head and to backwards behind you on the right. :P

V strange trick.

If you shake your head back and forth you can isolate the paddle.

WOOAH WOOAH WOOAH!! TIME OUT GUYS!!

Can we please have less arguing over there is/isnt a windmill in a fountain..

At the end of the day its what everyone is comfortable with.. If you dont wanna put a windmill in it dont.. if u do and want to make it look snazzy.. do it.

Lets not argue over it tho..

Now lets kiss n make up ok!!

It's not that simple Mr.D, this discussion has being going on ever since I've been visiting this site, and maybe,,,just maybe, we can come to a resolution on this thread.

As Mr. NYC stated, the fountain is a club swinging pattern, which has been translated to poi, and it's never had a windmill in it. See Stones video.

I'm up for coming up with a name for the weave>windmill>rev weave pattern, just so we have something to call it, and when this discussion comes up again, we can say " that's not a fountain, it's a xxxxxxxxxxxxx"

can I just ask, in a hybrid weave, you're keeping your hands together, and one arm does a long arm and the other does an isolation.

So can you invert that so that you keep the poi heads together? While one arm does a longarm, teh other an isolation? Right?
