Second Question:
If you are in a race, and you overtake the last person, then you are?


Third Question:
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000. Now add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20. Now add another 1000. now add 10. What is the total? ( must be done in your head only!)

Fourth Question:

Mary's father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini, 4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?




Answer Q1: If you answered that you are first, then you are wrong! If you overtake the second place person, and you take their place, you are second!

Answer Q2: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST person?!

Answe Q3r: Did you get 5000? The correct answer is actually 4100. Don't believe it? Check with your calculator!

Answer Q4: Nunu? NO! Of course not. Her name is Mary. Read the question again!

I got all but the last question correct....does that mean I am not suffering from dementia or just a very mild case?

I got all but three, but I've seen this type of thing before. Is Q2 meant to sound like an imposibility? Cos you can overtake the last person in at least two ways. :P

The third I have seen before but it still annoys me.

I could, I am sure, argue my answers and win, but still, I am demented. And intend staying that way.

1 question right and that was the easy numbers one but then again i can put it on tiredness as it is 1:24 in the morning

I also agree with the flid about this being more a test of reading the question through something im extremely bad at. Ive even fell for one of those lists of pointless tasks things that at the end tells you not to do a thing. Not exactly the same but still along the same lines in my opinion.

I've come across these kind of questions in psychometric measurement instruments designed to assess reasoning / IQ,
