I need art

So I'm looking for art to decorate my apartment. I was looking through Deviant Art and I liked it, but most of the stuff is too monochromatic and dark.

Anyone have some good suggestions? I want stuff like pop/op art or other forms of art with more intense colors to the prints.

There are lots of artists on HoP, many of whom are happy to send work as presents. If I were you I'd put out a list of subjects as hints for housewarming gifts

I'd glady paint/draw/sculpt something for you, and send it.
It'd be another thing that i could use for my art exam comming up. I don't have enough money to set myself up a print account on dA at the moment, but you could have the original on canvas ^_^

umm...try anything by Kandinsky. Really cool colours and patterns. Also try searching online for Op-art, futurism and Orphism. All three movements use really bright colours. That should give you a load of artists to hunt down prints for. You could also try Mark Rothko. Really beautiful expressionist stuff, as well as Jackson Pollock and Kenneth Noland. Some really good stuff! Prints are quite widely available too hope that helped!

Or try ebay for bargain original stuff. Nicer to have original stuff than a print, or just buy a canvas and go mad on it yourself!

I really enjoy good spray paint artists. For those who haven't seen these, you're mental picture is probably something like grafiti. But, it's nothing of the sorts. I have a spray painting that looks like the landscape of a distant planet with stars, comets, strange shapes and designs. When I saw one created before my eyes, I was surprised at how fast they can make these paintings. When I was in South America, they were being created on old records. It's definitely unusual and abstract...
