ok, recently I came upon a server that was made for this.
basically what it means for people wanting to download a file, is that they get put in a queue after clicking through 2 pages. the message for the queue looks something like this:

You have requested the file poi-movie.avi (10561536 Bytes). This file has been downloaded 530 times already.

then those seconds start ticking away, and when it reaches 0, you can click a link to download it. simple.

the manual the put with the site is as follows:

ehrm... I don't have anything on it, but I got it of another forum where they have video clips on it. and that worked for me.

ok, next time I'll pick a smaller file to upload, but it's done, and it seems to work...

hmmm weird....

I got it downloaded back to my computer again, no problems. then when I treid to do it the 2nd time I got this message:
We are really sorry, but you have downloaded 24934 KB in one hour. In order to finance this webspace, downloads just HAVE to be limited for free-users.
and that seems right: 24MB was the size of the file, and that basically means I can download from them again in an hours time...
I don't know why you never got to download it the first time????

ok, maybe disregard all the previous posts. spymac looks like a great deal:



BUT the only thing I cannot find is the download data limit.
and that is something that is so great about the above option, the poster doesn't have a download limit, but the downloader does... and it doesn't shut you out of downloading for the rest of the month, just for that one hour.

Sry i messed up in my description of how to activate your accout! You only need 2 ticks! sry about that, but you do need smartftp software to get it to the server.

I wrote a whole deal on how to get it free in "help" somewhere... i could dig it up if u ask nice, or you could do a DURBS
