Which logo is best?!

heya Poiple!!!

I'm busy with creating a site, and it's going to be in Dutch and in English... When you first go to the url, you will see a logo so you can choose between the two languages...
Anyhow, i have created two of such logo's, could you please tell me which one you like (more )/give tips, commments, hate mail, fan mail, etc

no idea what two pictures you are refering to out of the many in your gallery.

I'm assuming they're the "entree" pics? Well I'd say 1 but it's a tough choice.. 2 looks really nice, but the asymmetrical trails make it look a little unbalanced in my opinion.

Although the redness and yellowness of the flames on 1 are a bit full on, maybe tone them down to more belivevable flame colours?

No real criticism though, they're really good and both far better than I could do!

As logos I like #2, but I wouldn't like them on a web page if I had to select before I got to the content. You should think of a better way for your users to select what language they want.

Also, google doesn't like it....

hmmz, the unreal colours are to put an accent on the difference...
But why don't you like to choose in an introduction screen sym? it's a first kind of welcome screen, and there is also a nice quote about music on the same page... the other option would be a button on the site itself, not so difficult to do...
and google searches through all you subpages don't they ??

I chose the entrance 2 pic (wich is actually the first in the lineup), but like said bevore i dont really like the unbalanced fell of the fire trail either. In both pictures though I found the language font on the small side.

Mmm, I chose the second one. I don't mind the assymetric thing. Most pictures of twirling aren't totally symetrical anyway. But I do agree on the fond. It's really hard to see what it says because of the bright yellow of the flames.
I think it's better to have a default (English for instance) and have a Dutch button on the page instead of an entrance like that. Make sure people can put /English or /Nederlands or something at the end (important if you put it in 'favorites'. I don't want to click the same button again everytime I enter the same website.
Oh well, just wanted to help a bit. Good luck! Site looks great!

ahh well, the voices are thirteen to nine, and the nine included my own vote, so I guess logo 1 is the winner...
About the readability of the font: The display size of HoP is too small, normally the logo would be 1.3 time as big (well, something like that), so readability is way better...

At this moment the entire site is purely html, so Favorites will keep the 'language selection'; welcome.html vs welkom.html... But the problem is I never made any websites ^_^, I even have troubles putting a picture on the exact spot I like... But I guess that this weekend the next update will be there; Dutch text + a language button...

I like the first set, although the red flames on the bottom looked like a mushroom cloud from far off....Rather than changing the color of the fires to contrast them, why not have two language bars, top & bottom, then separate them with a stream of flames?
