Um.. Is there anything going regularly round Bristol at the moment? I've heard rumours of either time or place, but seemingly not both..

I didn't want to try find out too hard until I got a job- I know what I'm like, and I would have tried to find work round spinning, rather than the other way round, which I can't afford to do.. But now having joined the wage slaves, could any nice person tell me of any meets?

Not that i'm in Bristol anymore but,...

Monday nights is juggling club in Horfield reform church up on Muller Rd.

Other than that...Bristol is slack city. During the summer the gang normally hang out in St Andrews park in the evenings.

My piece of advice - just call people and organise things yourself. Call Tim or Conor or Oli and say, "oi slack hippies you meeting St Andrews park tonight at 7?" and they'll say, "uh..yeah ok" and voila!

I've been up to St Andrews park quite a few times in the early evenings (it's one of the shortest ways home from where I've started working) but no-one's been there.. At least, no-one I recognised..

Unless they all run away when they see me coming, which is possible

If anyone is up for some spinning, juggling, and dancing, I'd be up for any excuse to play.

See you's soon.

Hey all,

I've recently moved to Bristol and am temporarily heading up a committee for events in Victoria Park (Windmill Hill, Bedminster). Who here would be interested in a couple of regular circus skills events in the park next summer? Would like to get an idea of interest before i propose as an activity.

Also a couple of events are coming up that would welcome responsible fire spinners. September 6th there will be a park event with music, bands, stalls and all round fun-times. If you make poi / staff etc and are interested in selling your wares on the day get in touch. Also anyone who would like to donate their time to the community by offerring poi workshops would be appreciated. The other big event will be November 5th fireworks. Its rare (well coming from London anyhow) for a bonfire night to have an actual bonfire!! And it would be a lovely place for firespinners.

Send me a PM or email if you are interested in being involved

:-)

Kat

I'd love to go to a festival, but I can't really. I said to Drew I'd look after his house, and going to a festival for the first weekend while he's at BJC isn't really house sitting...
