hasn't the butterfly effect got to do with mulitplying reprecussions rather than time?

i.e. that a butterfly flapping it's wings in oz causes a tornado in a cow feild in shropshire...

Is the butterfly effect similar to the grandparent paradox?
If the space/time continuum is really just a rubber sheet, then what would happen if i used it like a trampoline?
If there is no tomorrow, which there isnt, cos it hasnt happened yet, and there is no present, because when i say now is the present, then it isnt because the present was after i said now, or something, and there is no past, then.. oh no, ive gone crosseyed.
