Whenever I see another spinner, I'm always watching to learn something new. Nobody carries the exact same bag of tricks and sometimes just watching someone do something shows you that it's possible and you'll just spin until you get it.
Anyways, my friends think I am competing with other spinners, but in reality, we're learning from each-other. The ultimate compliment that I can pay another spinner is "woah! teach me how to do that!"
I won't be immodest; I'm good. But there are a lot of folks out there who are way better than I am. You don't get any better when you are convinced you're the best.
And while others may be better, I can still get wide-eyed "oohs" and "aahs" out of bystanders, and I still finish every good spin with an ear-to-ear grin on my face like this:
That's what it's really about, isn't it?
