3 beat weave - NOT alternate!

Start doing the standard three beat weave in splt time, then slow one of the poi down so they are both in dualing time. Your hands should stay together on the left, together on the right, then your right crosses over first and left hand joins after one swing. It sounds complex but it's really easy to get going. Try going from split time to dualing time, it looks great.

Thank you both . So Glass, does that mean that doing the four beat is like two tuck turns without turning? One under each arm on each side? Or have I isunderstood.....

I think the beats add up ok.

It's actually a perfect way to transition into a 4 beat, then split time the four beat and you're almost at a 5 beat.

I can go from the weave into something that would resemble a 'same time' weave but I have to move my hips a LOT and therefore I cant keep it up for very long. I can do six beat parallel and five beat alternate forwards, and four beat parallel and five beat alternate in reverse. I like to mix them all up and transition between them all cos the the poi sometimes look like the do extra skips and flips and if you throw in some btb too people think you're really good
