Shlomo, I hope your left shoulder gets stronger, but I'm sure it will. I think for mixed media, a whip or spinning shield would work well with a floating sword, what do you think? Do you have BearCM's Contact, Covered Floating or exposed ball floating sword? The exposed (from TC) is slightly better in terms of balance, but without the full taper, it trips me up sometimes. With S-staff I would say look up Dai's (creator of the "Buugeng") videos, he has a few tutorials, and also on his website he lists some basic moves also. With that being said, look into double staff moves, while just making sure you keep the s-staff in the proper alignment.
