split time butterfloop works fine, just an adjustment in hand position. Not quite sure what you mean with the isolated hyperloop but I am working with antispin&inspin motion from orbitals if thats relevant? I think maybe the inspin orbital might be what you describe...
infinate hyperloops also have a rotational handpath even though they are not isolated, might appear that way though if you haven't seen them before...]]>
Someone posted a spreadsheet that could generate these sorts of things for different arm-length/poi-length ratios, number of turns, and such a while ago.

If anyone is unable to find it, I can put it up somewhere. :)
I didn't found the actual post ... but below are miscellanies which enable to vizualise the effect of the "modulus" part on a given "harmonic" part of a pattern.

If you wonder what i mean by "harmonic" and "modulus" parts or want to know what my definit]]>

In addition to the above, try watching your timing in a mirror or large window. One of the things that tripped me up for a long time was that I was really speeding up one of the poi without noticing, so it can help to check this, too, if you're having problems.]]>

If your poi is about the same lenght as your arm, a 3-petal-flower should be what appears automatically if you go from an extension circle and reverse the direction of your arm without changing the speed. If your poi is only up to your elbow, this should create a 4-petal flower instead. So if your poi is short, it will take extra speed to do a triquetra. Or you can just do a much smaller circle with your arm, that should do the same trick.]]>

the trick to turning around with the poi being in ANY position is cross points. No matter what sort of complicated pattern the poi is in, all turning is ultimately the same.

A lot of poi is already some sequence or another of crossing your poi from one side of your body to the other. This is true of weaves, meltdowns, reels, waist wraps, windmills, et cetera. Even IF you are in a move like a flower that doesn't inherently cross an axis (same thing as cross points), try stopping at some random]]>
Oh but it does have a point!, actually it has 2 points.
The poi tangle in a certain point near the middle after all...
Besides it's also a starting point for learning to play and flow with tangles.
True, but as an individual "move", I personally think it's pretty pointless and very limiting. I can't see myself ever using it much. Sure it's fun to play with, and helps with tangle theory, but then again so do hyperloops and air wraps, which IMO are a lot more practica]]>
