Hi guys, im new to the forum, but a quick question maybe you guys can help me, so ive been spinning for a good year and a half now but have recently bought myself a new staff, ive soaked it in kerosene for about 3 hours on each side, but when the wicks start to light, they ember up on the bottom sides and the top, i remember the last staff i used the kevlar was a little bit softer, is there anything im doing wrong?

Not sure to be honest - but you shouldn't need to soak for 3hrs! I'd just see what happens after the first burn, it may be residual packaging or thread or whatever?
