Posted: Southern Lights 2010 Call for Performers
The Southern Lights Circus and Street Arts Festival is looking for performers. We are looking for acts that can offer highly skilled and entertaining shows that would appeal to the Circus Arts Community. Budgets are limited but available to the right acts. We are also offering a performers start up package which will include your act being professionally photographed, filmed, as well as the chance to perform in front of agents and bookers in the entertainment industry who will also be available to help you compile promotional material in order to get booked. The ability to offer unusual or specialist workshops, talks or lectures will increase your chances of getting booked however all major circus skills areas are already covered by leading names in their particular discipline If you would like to apply to perform, please email as much information as possible to contact@southernlightsfestival.co.uk Please be advised that the festival is in the UK (11th-13th June) and performers must be in the UK during this time, we do not have the budget to be able to fly performers in from around the world Please submit any proposals by January 31st Southern Lights is a community event supporting the performance industry in the UK

Don't forget they'll need a working visa too if from overseas

Posted: Or from up north by ecky thump! I'm also going to ask for any workshop volunteers to PM me on here with your E-mail address.
Workshop teachers are loved, awed and generally worshipped by the guests - I'm teaching so give it a go (my workshop is how to use modesty wisely)
A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.
