i was wondering, whether anyone here has ever heard of a move that is somewhere between an 8shapy thing and a corkscrew but with one hand

since I did something like that out of nothing and i really liked it. so i was wondering who has heard of it, tried it out, something like it

greetings from Timo

It's a traditional Maori move- represents the flight of birds, apparently.

*tries to look knowledgable*

I don't think it's classed as an 'advanced move' though.. sorry..

If that's okay with you?

So it actually is a 1 handed corkscrew??? Its a funky little movement... never found much actual use for it myself, but I do like doing 1 handed spiral wraps from the corkscrew, especially when I'm... eating, drinking or whatever else that would occupy a hand.

You can put the extra beats from the corkscrew into this, though it can be a bit of a pain to learn. Request a video of this and you'll receive it... eventually.

hug

since you have both poi in one hand, and you're working the horizontal planes, now might just be a good time to take a break from regular spinning and simply twirl the poi above your head in ceiling plane.

Put one hand on your hip. strike a pose and YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHA ! you're a cowboy.

Toss in a few line dancing steps. or a few Irish jiggy steps or simply "answer" your phone with " I've won a trip to WHERE ??"

Have fun

i put it here because i couldnt find it, so it wasnt classed as beginner move so it was an advanced move.

though, i am a beginner, and if i can do it out of myself it automatically is a beginner move.
