Posted: Hi! My name's Maddy, and I live in Perth, Western Australia. I started poi about a month ago, cause I saw a performance which was fantastic. And I kinda need help. I would love to have some lessons, but that's not what I'm gonna ask about. Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent/help get rid of strained muscles in the shoulders and arms? My left shoulder is strained and I can't do poi for a while ( ) So, can I have some suggestions to help me out? From beginners or experienced, I don't mind.
EDIT: I did it spinning but I didn't feel it till the next morning. EDITED_BY: WereWolfiePyro (1161599218)

Posted: did you strain yourself while doing poi???
only advice i can give is to lay off the poi for a few days and gently excercise the muscles.
also when spinning try and slow down each revolution of the poi so your not burning up masses of energy, it will still look pretty and more under controll.
