Hi All U Groovy Spinners out there in e-land,

Announcing a series of mini-one-day juggling and spinning conventions throughout the Autumn in Nottingham.

The first one (9th Oct) is going to be a poi and staff spinning special.
With Te-Pooka and special guests from London running a series of master class workshops from begginers to Uber-Spinning Super Advanced.

NAME: TRIBE OF FUN-DANGO (emphasis on having fun).
DATES: 9 Oct, 13 Nov, 11 Dec (all sundays)
TIMES: 11am-11pm
PLACE: Nottingham University Students Union
SPACE: The Beautiful Big Ballroom and 2 workshop rooms - E and W concourse lounge (same place as the one dayer last March).
COST: donations up to £5 - pay what you can afford - be honest (this is to pay for w/shop leaders travel costs)
WORKSHOPS: begginers to advanced and very advanced. Workshop leader volunteers welcome.
AIM: to capture the essence of Bristol Juggling Convention in one long day.
PLAN: Workshops during the day, games and vidoes and music in the evening. Possibly an impromptu show. and many silliness
REQUEST: Please pass details around to any other juggling groups you know who might be interested.

They are called mini-one-dayers because we are only organising:
1) at least 6 workshops based on a theme each time. Other w/shops organised on day.Predict there will at least be 20 in all.
2) video projections and/or music in the evening.
3) some group activities and/or games.

The rest will be organised on the day. So its a bit more relaxed than normal.

More details to follow. Contact details below.

Anyone know the directions from the Nottingham train station to the uni? confused

Gonna be there only for one day I think so I gotta grab the last train home at 21:30 ish, unless someone can provide shelter and an alarm clock for a train early enough to get me to a lecture at 11 the next morning... biggrin

mr. seraph - get a number 5 barton trent bus (the purple ones) from the bus depot which is on the way into town from the station (turn right when you come out the main entrance). this will take you either along the top or bottom of campus an should only cost £1.20... or you could walk straight down castle/university boulevard but it's 3 miles an will take about 45mins-1hour...

weather not lookin great for sat eve... frown but that's never stopped us before.... biggrin

Hi All you Hopsters,

Still getting the hang of this place and who is who... getting eeexcited!!!!

I'd like to know plans for Fri-Sat night to possibly tie it in with Sunday. W-shops start at 12 midday on sunday BTW.

There is a park opposite my house that might be OK for fire spinning in the evening. Its not huge but
its quite secluded and not far from Forest Fields - check out Wallan St, Player St on a Nottingham map.
Would be good for Sat as advanced workshop peeps are coming to stay at mine anyway. I can provide some tunes too.

Will also be a party back at mine on sunday sooo...
Whatta you think?

Oh yeah... and I could do with a hand setting stuff up on Sunday from 10am at the Portland Building, Students Union, Nottingham University Park.

And also to run registration / check passes. A gang of 10 or so people taking it in turns would be splendid.

E-mail me: info@trueleepeachi.com
or find me on the day.

Ta very muchly, Peachi

Yes it was a truely awesome start to a series of Tribe of Fundango's. Thanks to all who came (about 90 in all) and anyone that helped set up and taking workshops. And for the fire spinning meet on saturday.

Please all feel welcome to come to the next one on Nov 13th. I'll try and organise some beginners and intermadiate staff and poi w/shops and trick swap sessions. The main advanced workshops will be to do with club juggling and passing, but it would be great to keep you HOPPERS meeting every month for some fun.
