i need to know a way to paint sox so that there are dif colored rings around it and they are neat and not all messy

knit them your self? or find multi colored socks?
Failing that you can do the old tie-dye method. just put die on the water, then dip in as far as you want the ring to go, then repeat as many times with as many different colors.
