Well, seeing as we are starting to take over the

"Offical HOP "I just learnt a new move" thread", I thought we should contain this bit just to jugglerisng and the throwing and dropping of balls, clubs, rings and other miscellaneous juggling props.

Today I mothered learning 441.

I had a few throws of 531 but only 1 catch. I think my 5 is too high.

Note for the mods: I DEMAND on behalf of the jugglers on this site, as has been done with the aforementioned "Poi moves thread", that this one is made a sticky thread.

Otherwise its just favouritism really....

I can do that. smile. A full pirouette I just end up falling over, and the balls landing on my head. frown

I have been practising random multiplex throws within 3 balls and 4 balls... and a random carry in 4 balls. smile

I seem to throw more balls up then I catch wink

To be honest don't think advise is going to help think I just need to spend alittle more time programming my body how to make the right adustment in throw hight and holding time to correct the pattern. I really just wanted to have a moan.

Clubs are bastards. When I do anything other than a single spin it hurts my shoulders. :\

clubs are bastards, balls are so much easier but for some reason, clubs are addictive, i cant put mine down! i'm still getting my cascade solid, working on 100+ catches, before going onto doubles/triples or silly things like columns or mills.

also, can you penguin catch clubs? i tried but i cant catch them in a way that would allow me to easily throw them again.

Damn laws of physics! ubbideamaybe learn flats and throwing them from the clubs head... wouldn't be able to do it continuous though. still it might look cool as you whip the hand back round to normal position.shrug

I just started doing reverse chops with 3 clubs, and getting 8-10 catches in a 6 ball sync and async fountain. Retarded left hand. Makes me wish I learnt both left and right at the same time. Man sooo regret those early short cuts I took....

loads of contact too.

do siteswap combo's count as learning?
it definitely felt like learning so i'll tell you all about it biggrin

last night i found and juggled the best siteswap combo i've ever discovered: 55517333 which is right good smile
for non-siteswappers its a 4 ball trick that works out as a a 3 ball cascade followed by a 3 ball flash with three of the balls with the fourth ball going around that pattern all in a big circle bounce2

it was tricky to get it to fit properly but when it clicked, it really felt like my throw heights were right and i was more aware of the variation i could put on dwell time to adjust than i ever have been before.

juggling is good juggle

Any advice on 633. I tried it for the first time the other week, and by the time I have to throw the second six, chaos just occurs. :| I cannot describe what happens, I think I'm instinctively going back into doing the 4's, not sure though.

nice one pat - 9151 is tasty.
my 4 ball hi-lo shower has been at a similar standard for *ages* now - can do 2 cycles solid but it may or may not fall to bits after that.
have improved getting out of it now though - i'm using the rule of "if it gets sketchy, collect and multiplex" smile

le monkey - general advice for 633 i got was "throw the 6's really high".
corresponding advice might be "keep the 3's low".
633 is definitely a tricky one - where best to look is the biggest problem.

beth: i've seen someone do continuous penguin catches with clubs on half spins. you can do it on singles and throw from a reverse grip, but if you do it on half spins they magically end up the right way around. having said that i still can't do it either way. ubbrollsmile

also, i think it was you i was discussing a three ball trick with, where we were trying to decide the siteswap for it: the one where you do a slow cascade with two simulataneous 1's underneath each throw. i reckon this is the siteswap: (6x,2)(2x,2x)(2,6x)(2x,2x) and i still reckon it can't be described as a soggy 531 and doesn't really have a vanilla equivalent.

and hex i reckon that we were both right in the discussion we were having at ucof's in that i think the labotomy is a (4x,2)(2,4x) but the other trick i was doing with the loops around the lower throw is a (6x,4)(2,0)(4,6x)(0,2). although they both can be done in the slow or fast versions.
