Ok, the father of a close friend of mine recently died. He was a huge star trek fan. In few days my friend is having a cerimony to scatter his ashes.

Now there is a line that captain kirk once said about "going strait on till morning" or something like that, which she wants to use in the service. As I recall it is similar to the same line in peter pan, but neither of us can recall exactly what the quote is or what episode/movie it came from.

Any help is appreciated.

It's not there.....It's from one of the movies, of that I'm certain, but I don't recall *which* movie.

I think it's "carry straight on till morning," vanize, but I can't recall the rest of it.

not "First star on the left and straight on til morning"?

Isn't that Peter Pan?

It's from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

UHURA: Captain, I have orders from Starfleet Command. We're to put back to Spacedock immediately — to be decommissioned.

CHEKHOV: Course heading, Captain?
KIRK: Second star to the right — and straight one 'till morning.

I personally like the syaing. It reminds me of Peter Pan & on the fantasy & mystery of Never Land. I'm sure that the Star Trek version gave her father a similar feeling. The wonderment of all that there is out there & beyond. Send your friend my condolences, I shall light a candle for her father.

I believe those were the directions on how to get to Never-Neverland

Dance like it hurts; Love like you need money; Work like someone is watching.

Never criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you DO criticize them, you are a mile away, and you have their shoes.

Unfortunately karate has never so far had the funds to influence the IOC.

And condolences to you and your friend, vanize! hug
