biggrin i like it!! did you write that griffin?

here's another one in the same sort of idea...language warning (even tho i did kinda censor it!!)

'the age old debate'

teenage angst

who the hell thought that one up?

'we don't know why they do what they do

let's call it teenage angst'

sure as censored wasn't a teenager

'it's called growing up you dumbf**k

get it through your head!'

apparently we all go through it

'what?! there's nothing wrong!

i'm just having a bad day!'

the parents get all shitty

'why don't you talk to me anymore?

we used to be so close!'

(used to be is the prominent phrase)

'well f**k off i don't want to talk'

what do you know?

it all comes down to that word again

'oh they must be going through

what is it? oh yeah - teenage angst'

but there's a protest from the gallery

'you bunch of old farts

teenage angst is a f**king middle age myth'

so it's not an actual condition

'oh they're having a very bad day

maybe it's best if we leave them alone'

finally the message gets through

'it took the old gits long enough

when will they f**king learn?'

never

that's the joy of parenthood!

I was walking one day
Down by the bay
When I saw my budday
So I said HEY!
wanna make clay
down on this bay
you bring the hay
then we can play
that was my day
down at the bay

simplicity at its finestay

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potato's.

i can't remember the author, but i read that when i was younger and have remembered it every since.

My name is Tess
My rooms a mess
my mum says clean it up
But I don't listen to her
I do what I prefer
My leg has a joint

And my room is still a mess!

May I chip in? Here are two things i jotted down quickly a few nights back, the dots seperate the 2 poems:

.....
.....
.....

Summer time meadows,
A flower filled emporium of joy.
Absolute happiness, purity and good in each petal.

An army of bees humming their sonf in fields of daisy's
whilst dashing madly through the perfume scented air,
everything is perfect,
death goes unnoticed.

Mary lie
unmoving in the sun,
incapable of breathing the wondrous aroma,
life parted from her.
Her rosy cheeks now pale like white carnations,
flowers tainted red around her lifeless form.

Yet only one person knows,
silence following their invisible form,
A hand touches your shoulder.

.....
.....
.....

Creeping amongst shadows,
darkness has fallen,
he is here,
one moment in time,
a fraction of a second,
all my fears summed up in the drop of a pin.

Silence gliding along a blade,
the tightly gripped handle
the possesion of a killer,
a passion for death.

My flesh parts,
My life,
Gone.
No room for the dead amongst the living.
I am forgotten

.....
.....
.....

After re-reading these, I am now profoundly disturbed by them lol.

Some of my favorites from a great book of kids poems called "The New Kid on the Block"

You need to have an iron rear
To sit upon a cactus
Or otherwise at least a year
Of very painful practice

---------

A cow's outside is mainly hide,
Undoubtedly this leather
Retains a cow's insides inside
And holds a cow together

--------

My baby brother is so small
He hasn't even learned to crawl.
He's only been around a week
And all he seems to do is bawl
and wiggle, sleep... and leak.

--------

I'm bold, I'm brave, I know no fear
I'm gallant as a buccaneer
Is that a hornet by my ear?
Gangway! I'm getting out of here!

Oh, that was a great book. I can't believe I still own it.

"Happiness is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth."

Once there was a bee
As busy as BB can be
When affected by
Sunny laziness.....
As you may think,
It being not easy
The blue world’s bee
Beebadeloolaped and flee.
As you believe
Or bewildered become
She found a friend in a stinging
Bicolour-striped fringe
Flowing in the wind.

made that up one day
I don't know if it actually means anything to anyone but I kinda like it
