Hello, hello and welcome to the thread for all Irish fire dancers, spinners, object manipulators, drummers, musicians and anyone else interested in these arts in Ireland.

This thread was started nearly a couple of years ago now... and it's since grown to include more people, gatherings, events, fun and games than we had thought possible.

And it's still growing - so if you're new to the arts, or want to meet up with any of us, please post at the end of this thread to introduce yourself... or send me a PM with your email address and I'll add your name to our mailing list.

There are spinners, dancers and manipulators all over the country, and you'll find lots of them on here... don't be shy, we're nice biggrin

So welcome, and hope to see you soon hug

Glad you'se all liked the shots... twas a wicked gig, and lots of fun smile
I think everything just came together - the company, the costumes, the make-up, the lights and a fantastic director... hurrah biggrin

I'm just back from the Bristol Juggling Convention - oh my god... this is one of the best conventions I've ever been to.

Loads of professional circus folk were there, so I spent the entire time not knowing who to watch... Highly, highly recommended for next year smile

Hope you guys had a great party in Galway... sorry for being slack hug

Take care and see you in Tralee (maybe biggrin redface)

Hey Guys

The weekend in galway was great.

one of the girls that was working in the bar came over to the house around two and said 'I thought this was a party!'

I said are you kidding me? This is the best party ever. there were 4 people watching dvds, a few more juggling in the corner. A few more still sitting around giggling and skinning up and the rest were outside spinning fire. Two of them in sexy ass bellydancing costumes. rwaarr.

We were doing burnoff's on the ceiling of the carpark. Rock!!!

Oi baz! Party in yours this weekend? Happy birthday!

Love is the law.

Yep you will Mr Durbin...

For those that don't know... Paul, aka the splendid Durbs, is visiting us next week.

He arrives on Saturday, and will probably spend Saturday and Sunday night dressed like a faery with us at the Enchanted Evenings.

Hopefully, he'll also be at our workshop and fire gathering next Tuesday night. Hurrah!!

So, if anyone wants to learn some uber poi'ness, or double staffery, or CJ, or bodypopping - come along and pester him biggrin

Take care...
Hope you all enjoy seeing your very own faeries.

Hello everyone smile

Something quite splendid happened last night, and I wanted to share it...

We started poi workshops back in April in Belfast... One of our workshopees was Dale Mawhinney, an amazing artist, and lovely guy (on here as ZombieDale) - I think he was dragged along by his lovely girlfriend May.

Anyways, he took a picture of me fire dancing and decided to paint it.

I saw it last night for the first time, and was completely blown away. I love it. I love the movement and the colour and the stars...

I know he painted the picture because it was a strong image, but it's a complete honour to be included in a piece of art.

Thanks Dale!!!
