I haven't been on HoP in months... but got a copy of my local (Kingston) paper through the door last week with a familiar face on the front cover!

Nice work smile

hey all, i have not long been in guildford, and only started with poi last weekend after a friend who i used to live with dragged me along to give it a go... oddly enough i loved it... though i am currently using a pair of socks and some juggling balls as my poi!
Anyway, who should i speak to, call, email etc about info on the thursday meets? I would defintiely like to join in, a social atmosphere always makes learning a more enjoyable.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike, not sure I managed to speak to you but glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Paul/Durbs is the man to talk to. You can either PM him on here or have a look at the contacts page of www.burnttoast.co.uk for his details.

I'm still using juggling balls in socks by the way, and I've been doing it for 4 years! biggrin

Hey hey

Quick news flash

For tonight (and tonight only) - poi will be in The Star pub at the bottom of Guildford High Street from 8pm.
Larger than the Riverside centre, and I'll get some pretty lights set up too biggrin

Hope to see some of you there!

I'm actually going to stop being slack and come along this week for the first time ever! I'll be the one hovering around looking shy (although I might be dragging a friend or two along so may be a couple of us standing looking shy!)
Can't wait to meet you all and learn some new bits (and probably find out that my home-taught technique is totally weird and wrong!!)
See you soon! wave
