(most people don't know this but Canada used hanging as it's only method of capital punishment up until the death penalty was completly abolished in 1998)

Well, considering lethal injection is no more painful then a pin prick and then you quickly lose conciousness and die, compared to the gallows where A)your neck doesn't break and you hang their untill strangulation (which can take minutes) or your neck breaks, and you still hang there for a shorter amount of time while your brain is starved of oxygen. Either is fairly unpleasant, and statisticly the chances of your neck breaking isn't that great (especially in countrys where they still use hangmens knots opposed to the british style where there is a large metal ring attached to the rope which does a better job breaking the neck.
So yeah, lethal injection. It's also more expensive of an execution which costs the state more money, if im going to be executed I want the bastards who are doing it to me to pay as much as possible.
