Well I just saw on the news how the Brits just got slaughterd in a game of soccer (football) by a local Iraqi team!
The Brittish Army challenged a local Iraqi team to a game of soccer, to not only build moral in the unit but to show the Iraqi people that they were not the enimy.
A large crowed showed up to watch the game.
The Brits lost 9-6.
Just a bit of good news in a world filled with bad.

Seriously though, I think that playing sports with the Iraqis is an excellent example of good will and demonstrates what the troops are really there for. Thanks for posting Ray!

Who knows how much hidden soccer technology the Iraqis have stored away in caves and mobile sites. If they can destroy a state-of-the-art millitary soccer team imagine what soccer havoc they could wreak on a major metropolitan civilian soccer population in the US or England.
Clearly these people have no hesitation in using thier own soccer technology against even thier own people, let alone Western countries. Something should be done.

Well if its score on "friendlies" your after, I think you'll find that the boys from the US are whooping the UK by a massive
18 to 2.
The match analysis is:
-US 14 own goals and 4 brit
-The UK have only managed a snivelling 2 own goals so far.
It doesn't look like we're going to pull this one back even if it goes into extra time.....
