hi guys

just got a question for you here :

what music do you use for swinging ? percussions ? instrumental ? sepultura ( my favourite at the moment ) ?

but could u help me to find "better" music ? especially for swinging with single staff ?

that would be great
thanx

I recommend Nightmares on Wax, give it a go, you never know you might like it

Probably techno, or something with a repetitive beat. I prefer techno because I believe everything has a use, and I've finally found technos...

Depends on where.

Personally I love psytrance more than any other style so I use that lots. I did a show on Saturday where there were lots of older people so I toned down the BPMs and used LEFTFIELD - Afro left. Went down well.

So much fire, so little body hair...

hey
drum and bass is good but i find it too boring... if your strong and fast enough trance essential is good.... if you want slower then use late nite mix style!!! i have a mad staff routine to one of the theme songs out of the matrix!!!

I like System of a Down for harder edged music...

I think metal is overlooked sometime

Good driving beat with plently of rhythmical changes to keep things interesting..plus the lead singer can really sing, a definite rarity amongst metal bands.

I like them for raw driving primal staff swinging music

a nice contrast to techno...

try their song A.D.D., thetawaves, marmalade

yay! couldn't agree more. SOAD has been my music of choice for swinging/spinning for the last month or so.

i put all their albums on MD and have been listening to it constantly.

i know we're talking about staff here but they are also nice for poi i find cos a lot of their songs are in 3/4, which fits nicely with a 3-beat weave.

Dave

if you can swing it, set fire to it

Drum circles seem to get me in the mood to spin but the problem there is you can't just go out and find a drum circle. I have found that soundtracks with some trance techno are great as well as electronic beats (if you're into that kinda thing):

Hackers
either of the Matrixes
The Saint

as for just artists and their music:
check out Amon Tobin (he's sort of techno/electronic, very strange but cool)
Fatboy Slim
Nine Inch Nails (one of my favorites)
Aphex Twin

let me know if you have any questions I am like a music fanatic.
