What material can I use to make poi
Io know any would probably do but to get that movement of tails I have no idea.
I have only used rip stop nylon and dunno material very well it has to be said.
Any suggestions for substitutes
Velvet me thinks might be a bit heavy

You should use something with low drag for tails unless you real want a workout with your poi. Polyester material is good and comes in a heap of patterns or you can use some nylon cords to have multi tails.
