Basic and very effective
"I like the weight of the sand bags, as a beginner it really helps to feel the momentum of the poi. When I start to feel comfortable with a move, I switch to bean bags as the lighter weight helps polish the movement. Pro tip: Slip a pair of 1 wooden balls inside the handle end for some easy hand holds, a simple knot helps with length adjustment."

"I am not new to fire dancing but new to purchasing here, however this item intrigued me. I carved in to my curiosity and spent the seven dollars that this item cost. When I got it in the mail I was horribly excited. it arrived very well packed, they made sure to place all of the items information as well as provide links to me in my digital order for things like tips, tricks, and other useful information. the only concern I have with the product was to the shape of it in the packaging, as I was worried that it could be injured, however as I inspected my purchase it was solid. It is a great item, a conversation to be had, and something a group can get involved in. however like all fire toys you should be careful in your use of this or may receive injuries."

"Speedy order and delivery. This is a Great product! Beautiful blue color is solid throughout a perfectly rounded ball. Dropped them on concrete many a times already, only has a few scuff marks on them and not even noticeable unless your looking for them. Will Deffinately buy some more of other colors."

Not ideal for true beginners (like me)

White spider fans
"Good amount of kevlar thread to do all 10 precut wicks. I recommend not doing them all in one go-kevlar is tough. Fingers will cramp, but it's well worth the discount to DIY!! Came with one curved needle. White paint is solid, not thin or patchy. Shows up well in dim light. Already dropped, no damage yet. Well weighted with the wicks on. Looking forward to performing with these lit. Poi skills translate straight into tech fans but a lot of the higher stuff doesn't because palm direction matters more than anything. The open handle is great for spins. The size is great, large enough to hold ALL THE FIRE, but not hit yourself too easily. So much fire... Thanks for the great fast shipping to NC, USA!"

I see why they get so much praise
"I got one along with PX4s and can't choose a favorite. KNOB - They have almost a pencil eraser texture that really helps them stick to whatever you might balance them on. Shape is spherical (other knobs may have cone or cylinder shapes). HANDLE - PX3 has a wrapped handle, PX4 has a plastic mold with lines to simulate the taped pattern. Both feel great. PX3 seems to bend easier and is a little bit louder and higher pitched when catching. I find the PX4 is a little softer to the catch, the whole club absorbs the impact better, and at the same time feels less spongy and more durable. RING - The middle ring on the PX3 is sorta like hockey tape. PX4 has a plastic ring that protrudes a little bit and has a roundish bevel. BODY - Both seem to be the same. Solid, lightweight plastic, will develop scratches but will not dent easily. CAP - Both have similar material as the knobs, PX3 is rounded and taped while PX4 has a flat edge. OVERALL - Great slender shape, every trick is easier for me now!"

Thick rope
"I like it but I have been told the rope is way to thick on my rope dart by alot of people. So if you get this rope dart and go to festivals don't be surprised if every one is surprised on how thick this rope is. So ill use this rope to burn with and a smaller slicker rope to practice with."
