these weights provide good control
"The sand poi have a leather covering and absorb the shock of hits and bumps better than the tennis balls that hop sells. My only concern is if they get wet will they be ruined. I put each one on a scale and they were appoximate in weight but not different enough to tell while using. These are probably the best alternative for sock poi considering their size as I don't clip myself while duing melt downs. These balls swing and feel great for controled moves and patterns. Buy these and you will be glad you did."

flex pendulum poi / easy manipulation
"This poi set is very well made. The poi balls are a little bigger than I expected but still handle well. The weight is medium and just heavy enough for good control. My order came quicker than expected; I'm in Ohio USA and orders usually take 2 weeks but these came in eleven days. Awsome timing considering the distance. I also ordered a sock poi set with sand bag weights to replace an older set that I had from years of use from years gone by. Also from HOP. Gave the old set to my grandson who is 7 years old. Hope this will inspire him to take an interest in this fine manipulation art. I am very satisfied with my order. Happy spinning."

"These cords and knobs are very high quality. This is my first experience using colecord. Spinning for a year with socks. These knobs are the bomb and give much greater control. This opens up a whole new avenue since interchangeable heads of various wieght and color can be used with these cords even led glow balls with eyelets. I'm glad I got these. Love those knob handles. I got the orange."

a step up from my homemade poi
