Hey everyone, so I've been spinning poi for about 4 years and am looking to get into performing. I want something other than just spinning going for me, and want to combine it with normal dancing of some sort.

I am wondering if there's anyone out there who has a history of a style of dance that they have successfully combined with their poi spinning.

I'm also looking to see if anyone has any thoughts or ideas about different dance styles they think might work well. (I thought shuffling might be cool, but it's maybe a bit limited)

I have seen poi dance as a free style performance performed with vocal interaction with the audience. ubbrollsmile

Poi is a form of dance, where weights on the ends of tethers are swung through rhythmical patterns.

I saw that as free style which was very good.
