$400AU bucks is _excellent_
if you were covered today by duck for cover, you would have paid $275AU, new membership or otherwise.
for those of you reading this thread think what the duck is we all talking about, duck for cover is cheap bulk insurance for Aussie performers whose coverage ticks over very soon.

duck4cover is the name of the org charles
cover is based on what performance stuff you are doing, fire is only a small part of their coverage - last year, at least, it was a tiered system of payment - the more dangerous the performance, the higher the cost....
and would you believe fire performing is not the most expensive coverage?

If the prices are anything to go by, then working with kids is A LOT more scary then playing with fire. Sounds about right though I suppose...

Its not the danger of injury that they are talking about, it is the danger of parents, onlookers and the local media pursuing anything they perceive to be an issue to the fullest extent of the law.
About 2/3rds of my contracts are childrem-orientated, and it really does take a lot of awareness...
