Posted: Hey im in no way able to address factual pros and cons about the heads but as an owner of both over the last 10 years ill share my opinions.
Cathedral Weave: Pros- lighter in weight more forgiving when mistakes are made very large "fireball" burn style capable to reproduce yourself at home easy presoak and spin out for striaght to the point burn
cons- its fire poi no cons! lol
now im gonna give my opinion on monkey fist and keep in mind some of these pros are strictly in comparison to the cahedral head
Monkey Fist Weave: pros- MORE balanced weight makes planes, orbits, and hypers more approachable tight deep weave allows for longer burns IMO the visual aspect of a MFW is more like a burning tennis ball, it gives off a gorgeous comet burn with flowing tails they are heavier (con?) but i find this allows me to become more fluid. in transitions as well as moves.
there are so many weaves out there im curious what makes you battle these two? if your looking for something in between i would suggest the twista. good luck n safe burns
